An Early Easter Weekend

This weekend I finally got to go home. I hadn't been home since Christmas, which for me is a long time! It was wonderful because we were all home, which hasn't happened since Thanksgiving. Mom was in heaven with us all there! We ate lots of good food, hung out, watched movies, made pzookies, learned that next time we'll drive and just enjoyed being spoiled.
Warning: LOTS of pictures to follow.

Taylor and I at the airport. We got there at 9:45 for our 11:00 flight, which quickly turned into our 12:00 flight, and ended up being our 3:00 flight. Four hours later we finally got out of the SLC airport. Don't worry, next time we will drive. That night we met up with Heath and Josh and went to Mongo for dinner, and then had it for breakfast and lunch on Saturday. YUM!

Saturday we went shooting. We shot handguns and rifles. Dad keeps all the milk cartons from home, puts colored water in them, and uses them as targets. Let's just say all the men were quite impressed with my aim. I used to go target shooting with my dad when I was little. EVen have my own gun. Seems I haven't lost my touch! I just liked watching the milk cartons explode when we shot them with the rifles.

Saturday night we went out for Sushi. My parents were quite surprised when about a week before we came I called and said, "Can we go for sushi?" They about had a heart attack. I have been known to gag and whine and complain when we go to sushi. I think I have finally acquired a taste for it though. I thought everyone would be impressed, but now they just give me crap for the way I eat it. Can't a girl get a little credit? I love this picture of Robbie. He felt a little left out all weekend. Poor guy!

Sunday wrapped up with a good Easter lunch, an Easter egg hunt for the little boys, and getting our Easter baskets. Taylor and I were both spoiled with movies, play-dough, candy etc. Our favorite thing (well, mine at least) was our coloring books. I love coloring books and new crayons. I think I am quickly converting Tay to loving coloring too (I must admit, he is a better colorer than I am. I have a hard time staying inside the lines still.)

Overall, it was a fantastic weekend (apart from getting sick). I can't wait to see my fam in a week when they come to Utah for Rob's lacrosse tournament. Thanks Mom and Dad for a great weekend!

Linds, isn't the point of majoring in Elementary Education to learn how to color in the lines?!?! Seriously! But now that I think of it, we never really took a class on how to do that. Maybe we should write a letter to the Dean. If you do anything as a teacher, you should at least learn how to color in the lines. But let's be honest... I don't do it all the time either!

Lindsay, you look fantastic and looks like you've got a great guy too! I'm sending out my rays of sunshine from my 'beat those blahs' post a few weeks ago and need your address! Just email it or post it on my blog - hope you recover from being sick soon!! Thanks!
