I might be disowned from my family for this, but yes I do have this flag hanging in my classroom this very instant. It took me a long time to come to terms with this but, don't worry there is a good reason.
One of my students LOVES the University of Utah. To say that it has been ingrained in him by his ex-football playing father is putting it lightly. This year has been quite the rivalry, and I got a full earful after BYU lost to the U, and it was not from the father! Braydon turned 8 this weekend, and is having a U themed birthday party. When the U won the inaugural holy war, I told Braydon that I would hang the flag in the classroom on his birthday. Well, don't worry, he didn't forget as I might have hoped. This morning I begrudgingly hung the ugly red flag from the white board, and as I type I am staring at it, trying not to vomit. He made up for it by bringing us each a bag of M&M's for his treat.
