Good Friends

I just had a thought this weekend: 

These past few weeks I have been blessed to catch up with numerous old friends. I have gotten to see people who hold special places in my heart. On each occasion I was amazed by how easy it is to simply pick up where we left off. No pleasantries, no beating around the bush. How lucky I am to have such wonderful friends who truly care about me and who love me no matter what. I have often lamented about what a horrible friend I am because I tend to loose touch with friends, not on purpose but simply because life gets busy and I don't want to impose on people's lives. I realized these past few weeks how important friends are, not just friends but good friends. Thanks to all of you have put up with me and my lack of follow through when it comes to friendships. I promise I will be better!  What a tender mercy the Lord puts in our lives....friends.
