Crazier than EVER!

So remember how I am supposed to be on Summer vacay? Well, just when I thought my life would slow down and I could actually lie by the pool, things somehow got busier! Here are some much anticipated updates:

Summer School: It is going well. There is only one kid that I can't stand, and luckily he is not in my class next year (at least not for now!). I am only supposed to be working 8:30-11:30, but find myself there at 7:30 and not leaving til who knows when (see the next update). I am trying to get my new classroom all ready before wedding craziness starts, because after that it will all be a blur.

Literacy Conference: After months of planning, my literacy conference is this Wednesday and Thursday. I still can't get over the fact that they asked the second year teacher to teach a 3 hour presentation. I am in full stress mode, and now even more because I saw who is in my class and lets just say there are some district big wigs...who helped coach me my first year.

Travel: As much as I would have loved to go to Hawaii this summer the budget was not allowing that. Even with the great gift from Uncle Sam, more practical things have come up, like buying a queen sized bed for my new apartment. Sometimes being an adult sucks. I want to go and visit my Gma and Gpa in Illinois this summer (Grandma, can I come?). I know that it will be spoil time when I get there. One of my favorite memories from going there when I was little was the fact that I could literally have whatever I wanted. Some things never change. Love you guys!

Weddings Galore: Well, Heather's wedding is in a few weeks, and Kelsey's is a month after that. For not ever throwing a bridal shower, by the end of the summer I will have thrown 4. Remember how everyone said that I would be married a year after coming to BYU? Well, I won the pool on that one. :) Oh, did I mention I am not a huge fan of trying on bridesmaid dresses.

Working out: I have been working out like a crazy person these past 5 weeks. Come on, it's not just the bride that has to look good. Well, I ordered my bridesmaid dress for Heather's wedding and lets just say i nearly drowned in it. Thankfully Megs took it back to the store for me and exchanged it for a dress 2 sizes smaller! (Ok. I probably ordered the first one a little too big to begin with, but I felt pretty good when I tried on the smaller dress and it fit like a glove...it was a small victory)

Family: My mom and Robbie are coming to visit me this week. Rob has a BYU hockey camp and my mom is going to be doing wedding plans and helping me in my classroom. She is such a sweetheart. I can't wait to see my dad, and to go home for a little while. I'll admit it...I'm homesick.

Ok, and now for the picture. This is Kelsey and Kia's daughter. Isn't she just the most adorable thing? I helped Kels babysit for Kim's kids cause Spencer had to have emergency surgery. Hailey, Daniel and Lauren were so darling and I loved playing with them all day. They make my hectic weekend worth it.
