Remember Who You Are

I know it's a picture of my both parents, but I love it. I just want to say Happy Mother's Day mom! This is to the woman who has taught me everything about everything. Hard to believe I know, but my mom has taught me so much through her example. She has been through some hard things in her life, and I look to her as a beacon of strength and faith.
She is such a pioneer, and if not for her brave choices at a young age, I would simply not exist. She knows what is right, does what is right and encourages others around her to do the same. She inspires me to be a supportive wife someday, to teach my children the right way to live, and to be ever close to our Savior.
Mom mom is also physically strong. I have been impressed with her dedication to her "Mommy Boot Camp" and every time I have a personal struggle to get to the gym I thinkg "My mom was up working out at 5:30, why can't I?"
One phrase will always bring mom to my mind and that is, "Remember Who You Are!" Growing up we couldn't leave the house without hearing these simple words. Now, I was not a bad kid, but these words in my memory kept me out of a lot of trouble in my youth. They have stuck with me throughout the years and will continue to remind me not only of my membership in the Peterson family, but also my divine worth as a daughter of God.
Thanks mom for the laughs, the tears, the advice, the prayers, and more often than not, simply the listening ear. I love you! Happy Mother's Day!
