Because is the Answer for Why

So I have recently received some slack for being single and having a blog. "What could people possibly want to know about a single girl's life in Provo?" Well, lets just take a lesson from an insightful three year old. My cousin Dylan was being asked why he was doing something. As a response he repeatedly said, "Because." After his mother got tired of his answer she asked, "What does because mean?" And Dylan looked her straight in the eye and said, "Because is the answer for why." Don't you remember asking your parents why you had to do a certain task, and you would get so frustrated when they would say, "Because, I said so."
So, when asked why I have a blog, being single, and seemingly boring and unimportant, I simply say: BECAUSE. If you can't understand that then don't bother anymore. Oh and Jenna and Amber, thanks for being loyal blog supporters. The world needs more "Single Girl Blog Advocates."

It does seem to be a trend for young married couples, but that is only because other single people don't seem to realize that it is the PERFECT way to keep in touch with people that you don't talk to on a regular basis (and with my schedule that means pretty much everyone I know).

Plus getting comments is SO FUN!

And might I add that the argument that "nothing is going on in my life" is the silliest thing I have ever heard. If there is really nothing going on in your life, your life is probably very sad, and there are several ways you could fix that. If anyone needs suggestions just go ahead and come talk to me.

Let's just say that my love for facebook diminished after I started blogging. It's a whole new world. I guess I just feel more like a grown up... :) I stopped by last night to see you and kacey and Sarah, but nobody was home!

Hi Lindsay, I love that you have a blog - I plan to read it to keep up with you. I have several blogs and I am a ripe old married lady of 47! I love the name of your blog and the story of Dylan. Love, aunt Lori

Oh, you can so sic (is that how you spell that word??) on anyone who dares to give you lip for blogging. Young, freaking awesome, single people need to blog for those of us who are up in the middle of the night with sleepless children and nothing to do! (haha... I wish I was kidding). Besides, your life is worth hearing about. And in light of your more recent post, I hear you about the souring of Provo. It's amazing that you can love/hate a place everyday you're there! Hope things are swell for you and keep on truckin'!
