Kels and I at Snowbird
Last weekend I had yet another getaway! I had been anticipating Conference weekend for a long time. It's just so nice to take a break from life and be inspired. It was just the boost that I needed. Not only was conference amazing, but the fact that I got to spend part of it up at Snowbird with friends and family made it all the more enjoyable. The lively group consisted of Kels and Grant (The Tanners!), John, Jenni, Tracy and Kyle. Saturday afternoon we checked into the condo, had dinner watched a movie and sang Karaoke. We went to bed late and woke up early the next morning. I was so excited when we woke up to SNOW. Yes, it was snowing! I was partly excited because it was only in the mountains, and not down in the valley...yet. We tried to wake up, which after a very late night for me, was difficult. I was in charge of Crepes and Kels and Grant were in charge of waffles. I may have made WAY too much crepe batter (and got made fun of for it), but they were delicious! After the first session, we packed up and headed on our way.
I had tickets to the 2nd session so Kels, Grant and John and I headed down to the conference center. It was great to be there. I have been to conference before and will likely go again, but there was just something about being in the conference center that made me listen a little better, made me take notes a little better, and simply feel better. Maybe it's because during the first session I was cleaning and making breakfast. It was a great weekend and I can't wait to do it again in 6 months!
