Life at a slower pace...or so I thought

So for the past week (almost) I have been in humid Eureka, Illinois visiting my grandparents. I haven't been back here in probably 10 years or so, so it has been good to visit. Growing up I used to spend a week here by myself every summer. Appropriately, Gpa dubbed it as "Spoil Time" and let me have whatever I wanted. I was glad to see the tradition hadn't changed when I stepped off the plane and he handed me $100 for whatever I wanted. Before we got home we stopped at Wal-Mart and was instructed to pick whatever my heart wanted. Oh I love them!
It has been a fabulous trip, but a little different than I first anticipated. I thought I would sleep in, relax, have time to read, etc, but Gma and Gpa have spared no minute with their planning. We have been to 2 malls, 2 plays (one was a dinner theatre that was hilarious), to church with all the "old people" as Gma puts it, out to eat numerous times, and now I am being summoned to come and watch some old home videos. I have also gotten to hang out with the Bells and my cousins Katie and Patrick.
I go home on Wednesday and as much as I need to get home and get going in my classroom, I will miss "Spoil Time"!
