A must in good ole' P-town is floating the Provo River. This is a tradition that I have enjoyed the past few summers and absolutley love. Now usually you go get tubes at the local tire shop, fill them up and have a go. Last year was a small disaster as the air from the front of my tire moved to the back and I essentially had no air in the front part of my tire, and was folded in half like a taco. To avoid that situation again, we decided to rent nice tubes this time. These are like waterskiing tubes with a bottom...they were nice.
Getting shuttled up to the top the hippie van driver told us that the water was a chilly 47 degrees. YIKES! It is freezing every year, but once your extremities go numb it's really not that bad! So beside the cold water you have to kind of steer yourself away from the sides lined with trees and rocks. Shannon and I decided to stay together which made us go straight for the edge every time. My endless hand paddling has now got me some sweet burns on the crooks of my arms (it hurts like crazy!). After we floated we had a barbeque at the Anderson's cabin. YUM! In the end it was a fun adventure and I can't wait to go next year!
***I forgot my camera, and thus there are no pictures from this year, and I have somehow deleted the pics from last year, so you get a gorgeous picture from google!****
