Leave it to 8 year olds to teach you what love is all about. A few days ago I had them write about what love is and I was pretty amazed at their answers. Here are a few of my favorites:
Love is when...
a family gathers together.
people are walking side by side and suddenly they grab hands.
you let someone else go first.
i hold my baby brother.
When my mom and dad look at eachother in the eye.
my mom makes me food.
people kiss on the mouth
my mom picks me up from school when I'm sick.
my school gives me a coat because i don't have one.
my teacher buys my brother a coat and me some gloves so we don't get cold.
people say thank you.
people can be friends even though they don't look alike.
Aren't they so smart? I love valentines day, simply because the kids get so excited about it. OH, and because I get my annual Valentines package from mi madre. Isn't love grand?
