I can hear the bell...can you?

So every year the second grade has a Polar Express Day....which I love! One of the major pluses is that I get to wear my pajamas to school, and the kids get so excited to wear their pajamas too. Here is a picture of my class at the end of the day. I was worn out, and about ready to take all their bells away (can you imagine 20 ringing bells?)

Here are a few highlights from school the past few months:

I over head a former student telling another teacher, "I went to scouts for the first time this week. I am a new recruit!". He is not a member and his friends have convinced him that Scouts is like the army. Eight year olds are such good little missionaries.

Slayter was trying to pull his front tooth out yesterday. He said to me, "Miss Peterson, I can't read cause my tooth is just hanging in my mouth like my dad hangs out at the car show. And it's bleeding! Have you ever been so bugged?"

I was discussing the meaning of the word "pointing" with dear little Anthony. He said, "Oh, I know. I am pointing to the ceiliing." He then proceeded to point to it with his middle finger, essentially flipping me off. It was all I could do not to laugh out loud.

Random Subject Change: Christmas
I am excited because tonight I get to go to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert in Salt Lake. I have now lived in Provo for 4.5 years, and I have never been to any of the Christmas events up on Temple Square. In the past three weeks I have been to the Christmas Devotional, the Bell Concert, and tonight the MoTab Concert! I love the lights on Temple Square during this season (especially the pink ones!)
This year I feel good about the presents that I have bought my family. My dad is SO hard to shop for, but I think this year he is really going to love his present. I have all my shopping done, which is amazing for me. I took a mental health day last Friday, and got all my shopping done. It feels great! I love this season and the feelings it invokes. I have such vivid memories of Christmas. Last Christmas was fun in California, but I am excited that this year my whole family will be together, and we will be at home, and thats what makes Christmas so special.

I loved those stories about your kids! Aren't kids the greatest things in the world? Nothing puts a smile on your face like they do! How was the concert? I am so jealous!

The only time I have been to see the lights at temple square was freshman year. Do you remember that?
